Brief DescriptionCyclothiazide is a benzothiadiazide that acts as a potentiator of AMPA receptorsthat potently inhibits AMPA receptor desensitization, positively modulating its response to glutamic acid (EC50 = 3.8 M).
-
DescriptionCyclothiazide (Anhydron, Acquirel, Doburil, Fluidil, Renazide, Tensodiural, Valmiran) is a benzothiadiazide (thiazide) diuretic and antihypertensive that was originally introduced in the United States in 1963 by Eli Lilly and was subsequently also marketed in Europe and Japan. This agent is capable of inhibiting rapid desensitization of the ionotropic alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole-4-propionic acid (AMPA)-type glutamate receptors, thereby potentiating glutamate responses which may induce seizures activity. Cyclothiazide was also found to inhibit gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-A receptors.

Cleomiscosin A
Cleomiscosin A is derived from Acer okamotoanum leaf and twig and shows inhibitory activity to TNF-α secretion of the mouse peritoneal macrophages. Cleomiscosin A can be used in studies about the prevention of LDL oxidation in atherosclerotic lesions.

1,2,3,6-Tetragalloyl...
1,2,3,6-Tetragalloylglucose has antioxidative activity, it also shows the most potent anticomplement activity (IC50 = 34 microM). 1,2,3,6-Tetragalloylglucose is also a potent inhibitor of UDP glucuronosyltransferase 1 A1 (UGT1A1, Ki = 1.68 μM).
