Sarafotoxin S6c can cause vasoconstriction in both endothelium-intact and endothelium-denuded vessels. Animal Model:Male Wister rats, exposed to 10% O2 [chronic hypoxic (CH) rats] or room air (control rats) for 2 weeksDosage:1 pM-1 mMAdministration:Result:Chronic hypoxia had effect on the sensitivity of the main pulmonary arteries to SCS6c, and small vasoconstrictor responses to were evident.Caused vasoconstriction with a maximum response 30% of that to ET-1 in both endothelium-intact and endothelium-denuded vessels.
