    Santin is a flavonoid extracted from birch buds exerting antiproliferative, anti-influenza activity and anti-cancer activity. Santin can be used in studies about anti-IAV drugs.(In Vitro):Santin significantly reduces viability, proliferation, and clonogenicity of gastric (AGS), colon (DLD-1), and liver (HepG2) cancer cells. Santin induces apoptosis, accompanied by activation of caspase-3, caspase-7, caspase-8 and caspase-9. Santin shows anti-influenza activity in MDCK and THP-1 cells.
