Brief Description(R)-3-Hydroxybutanoic acid sodium ((R)-3-Hydroxybutyric acid) is a chiral precursor that can be used to synthesize biodegradable PHB and its copolyesters. (R)-3-Hydroxybutanoic acid sodium can be used as a nutrient in plants.
-
Description(R)-3-Hydroxybutanoic acid sodium ((R)-3-Hydroxybutyric acid) is a metabolite converted from acetoacetic acid catalyzed by 3-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase. (R)-3-Hydroxybutanoic acid sodium can function as a nutrition source, and as a precursor for vitamins, antibiotics and pheromones.
-
In Vitro(R)-3-Hydroxybutanoic acid sodium is a metabolite converted from acetoacetic acid. Enhanced hepatic fatty acid oxidation results in the increased production of acetoacetic acid which is in turn converted to (R)-3-Hydroxybutanoic acid sodium by a reaction catalyzed by 3-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase.

Propionic acid
Propionic acid (PA) is widely used as an antifungal agent in food. It is present naturally at low levels in dairy products and occurs ubiquitously together with other short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) in the gastro-intestinal tract of humans and other mammals as an end-product of the microbial digestion of carbohydrates.
