-
DescriptionAnserine is a dipeptide containing β-alanine and histidine, which can be found in the skeletal muscle and brain of mammals and birds. Anserine is not cleaved by serum carnosinase and act as biochemical buffers, chelators, antioxidants, and anti-glycation agents. Anserine improves memory functions in Alzheimer's disease (AD)-model mice.
-
In Vitro——
-
In VivoAnserine (drinking water at a concentration of 2.0?g/L (equivalent to 10?mg/mouse); for 8 weeks) completely recoveres the memory deficits, improves pericyte coverage on endothelial cells in the brain, and diminishes chronic glial neuroinflammatory reactions in AβPPswe/PSEN1dE9 Alzheimer's disease (AD) model mice over 18-months old.

-
Alanylphenylalanine
Alanylphenylalanine (Ala-phe) is a compound isolated from the brainstem of calves.
-
DL-Homocysteinethiol...
DL-Homocysteinethiolactone hydrochloride is a cysteine derivative that binds to and induces conformational changes in various plasma proteins slowing coagulation and inducing oxidative stress.?It decreases left ventricular systolic blood pressure and cardiac force and induces seizures in vivo.
-
3-Methyl-L-histidine
3-Methylhistidine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as histidine and derivatives. Histidine and derivatives are compounds containing cysteine or a derivative thereof resulting from reaction of cysteine at the amino group or the carboxy group or from the replacement of any hydrogen of glycine by a heteroatom.
