DescriptionAurapten is a coumarin with anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, anti-bacterial, neuroprotective, and hepatoprotective activities. It inhibits leukocyte activation and induces phase II enzymes during the initiation phase of carcinogenesis. Aurapten may also be useful in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease by inhibiting β-secretase (BACE1) activity.
