Description10-NCP (10-DEBC) is a potent neuronal autophagy inducer and increases TDP43 clearance, a reversible and specific inhibitor of Akt activity in vitro (complete inhibition at < 5 uM); displays minimal effect on PI3K, PDK1, or SGK1; blocks IGF-I stimulated nuclear translocation of Akt in Rh1 cells and suppressed growth of Rh1, Rh18, and Rh30 cells (IC50=2-5 uM).

In Vitro10-DEBC is found to inhibit the growth of Mtb in whole-cell assay with an IC50 of 12.8 μM, while inhibiting replication of Mtb inside iMACs with an IC50 of 1.5 μM, without host cell toxicity even at the highest concentration of 25 μM.
