-
DescriptionPST-1P is a photoswitchable inhibitor of microtubule with EC50 of 0.7 uM under 390 nm irradiation in the MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cell lines; 100-fold more cytotoxic than in the dark; induces mitotic arrest and cell death in a light-dependent manner, and controls mitosis and the microtubule cytoskeleton in mammalian tissue in vivo; highly water-soluble prodrug of PST-1.
