Brief DescriptionNeamine tetrahydrochloride is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic with antibacterial, antitumor and neuroprotective activities, inhibits the growth of pancreatic cancer cells, and inhibits the proliferation of oral cancer cells.
-
DescriptionNeamine tetrahydrochloride, a degradation product of Neomycin, is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic. Neamine tetrahydrochloride is an anti-angiogenesis agent targeting angiogenin. Neamine tetrahydrochloride has potent antibacterial, antitumor and neuroprotective activities.
-
In VitroNeamine (0.625-25 μM; 48 hours; AsPC-1 cells) treatment inhibits ANG-mediated AsPC-1 cell proliferation in a dose-dependent manner in the range of 0.625-25 μM.Neamine (100 μM) also blocks the nuclear translocation of ANG effectively.:Cell Proliferation Assay Cell Line:AsPC-1 cells Concentration:0.625 μM, 1.25 μM, 2.5 μM, 5 μM, 10 μM, 25 μM Incubation Time:48 hours Result:Inhibited angiogenin (ANG)-induced AsPC-1 cells proliferation.
-
In VivoNeamine (30-60 mg/kg; subcutaneous injection; daily; for 14 days; male Balb/c nude mice) has anti-tumor effects on AsPC-1 xenograft models. Neamine reduces the expression levels of ANG, Ki-67 and CD31 in tumor xenografts.Animal Model:Male Balb/c nude mice (4 weeks old) injected with AsPC-1 cells Dosage:30 mg/kg, 60 mg/kg Administration:Subcutaneous injection; daily; for 14 days Result:Had anti-tumor effects on AsPC-1 xenograft models.
