Biological Information

  • Product Name
    Liothyronine sodium hydrate
  • Note
Research use only, not for human use.
  • Brief Description
Liothyronine sodium hydrate (Triiodothyronine sodium hydrate) is a TRα and TRβ agonist and a thyroxine analog with anticancer and antitumor activities.
  • Description
Liothyronine sodium hydrate is an active form of thyroid hormone.Liothyronine sodium hydrate is a potent thyroid hormone receptors TRα and TRβ agonist with Kis of 2.33 nM for hTRα and hTRβ, respectively.
  • In Vitro
Liothyronine (T3, 100 nM) sodium hydrate stimulates the proliferation of hepatocarcinema cells in which TRβ1 is overexpressed. Liothyronine sodium hydrate binds to human β1 thyroid hormone receptor (hTRβ1), and changes its conformation. Liothyronine sodium hydrate promotes growth, induces differentiation and regualtes metabolic effects.
