Brief DescriptionArtepillin C shows antioxidant, anti-angiogenesis, and anti-tumor activities.
-
DescriptionArtepillin C shows antioxidant, anti-angiogenesis, and anti-tumor activities; it also shows anti-inflammatory effects mediated, at least in part, by prostaglandin E2 and nitric oxide inhibition through NF-κB modulation. Artepillin C activates the immune system, and possesses direct antitumor activity. Artepillin C can suppress alloreactive CD4 T cell responses in vitro, so it could be used as a potential immunosuppressant, either solely or as adjunct agent in treating graft versus host disease. Artepillin C promotes adipocyte differentiation and glucose uptake in part by direct binding to PPARγ, which could be the basis of the pharmacological benefits of green propolis intake in reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Nepitrin
Nepetin-7-glucoside has antioxidant activity in human HL6 cells assessed as reduction of cytochrome-c release, DPPH free radical scavenging activity, and inhibition of TPA-induced free radical formation.
-
JI130
JI130 is able to impair the ability of Hes1 to repress transcription. JI130 treatment significantly reduced tumor volume in a murine pancreatic tumor xenograft model.

Activated Protein C ...
The peptide region containing residues 390-404 in Activated Protein C (APC) is essential for anticoagulant activity and is available for interaction with antibodies or with other proteins, such as the macromolecular substrates Factors Va or VIIIa. APC regulates blood coagulation by proteolytic inactivation of the blood coagulation cofactors Va and VIIIa.
