Brief DescriptionC3a (70-77) TFA (Complement 3a (70-77) TFA) is a COOH-terminal fragment of the C3a anaphylatoxin peptide.
-
DescriptionC3a (70-77) TFA (Complement 3a (70-77) TFA) is a COOH-terminal fragment of the C3a anaphylatoxin peptide.(In Vitro):The direct interaction of C3a(70-77) with human mononuclear leukocytes in culture results in a concentration-dependent inhibition of the generation of LIF evoked by mitogens and by the antigen SK-SD. C3a (70-77) induces histamine release and degranulation of rat mast cells, promotes contraction of guinea pig ileal tissue, and enhances vascular permeability in human skin. C3a (70-77) selectively desensitizes ileal smooth muscle to C3a but not to human C5a, a related anaphylatoxin. The cross-desensitization indicates a specific interaction of C3a (70-77) with cellular C3a binding sites.

Cltrinin
Citrinin (NSC 186) is a mycotoxin that causes food contamination and has different toxic effects. Citrinin is an effective oral anticancer agent. Citrinin has various regulatory effects on mouse immune system, including regulating the number of immune cells, inducing apoptosis and autophagy of immune cells, altering toll-like receptor expression and cytokine production. Citrinin can induce oxidative stress and lead to early apoptosis of oocytes. Low doses of Citrinin have neuroprotective effects against glutamate-induced excitotoxicity in rat cortical neurons. In addition, Citrinin also has antibacterial activity.
