Corticotropin-releasing factor human( Human CRF; Human corticotropin-releasing factor )

Catalog No. M29843 CAS No. 86784-80-7

Corticotropin-releasing factor human (Human CRF; Human corticotropin-releasing factor) is an immunomodulatory neuropeptide that acts to release ACTH from the anterior pituitary and stimulates the sympathetic nervous system and adrenal medulla. Functions by reducing hyperpolarizations. Acts as a functional antagonist of inflammatory mediators.

  • Description
Corticotropin-releasing factor human (Human CRF; Human corticotropin-releasing factor) is an immunomodulatory neuropeptide that acts to release ACTH from the anterior pituitary and stimulates the sympathetic nervous system and adrenal medulla. Functions by reducing hyperpolarizations. Acts as a functional antagonist of inflammatory mediators.(In Vitro):CRF increases excitability of type II dlBNST neurons through activation of the AC-cAMP-PKA pathway, thereby causing pain-induced aversive responses.(In Vivo):The findings are consistent with a mechanism whereby the excess CRF that characterizes stress-related diseases initiates distinct cellular processes in male and female brains, as a result of sex-biased CRF1 signaling. CRF injection on food intake (FI), CRF suppresses FI in 3-month male and female animals.
