Hederacolchiside E has antioxidant activity and shows neuroprotective effects in Alzheimer's disease (AD) models via modulating oxidative stress. Hederacolchiside E exhibits inhibition on lipid peroxidation of linoleic acid emulsion.(In Vitro):Hederacolchiside exhibited a strong total antioxidant activity. At the concentration of 75 pg/mL, these saponins showed 88% inhibition on lipid peroxidation of linoleic acid emulsion.
