Mulberrin is an inhibitor of OATP2B1-mediated estrone-3-sulfate (E3S) uptake (IC50: 1.8 ±1.5 μM).
In Vitro

Mulberrin is a flavone with two isopentenyl groups at positions 3 and 8. Mulberrin is a strong inhibitor of OATP2B1 with more than 80% inhibition.Mulberrin also inhibits organic anion-transporting polypeptide (OATP)-mediated uptake of Atorvastatin, Fluvastatin, and Rosuvastatin.
