In Vitro

Isoborneol ((±)-Isoborneol) protects against 6-OHDA-induced increases in caspase-3 activity and cytochrome C translocation into the cytosol from mitochondria. Isoborneol prevents 6-OHDA from decreasing the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio.
