Brief DescriptionBetulonic acid amide stimulated the regenerative response in hepatocytes under conditions of combined toxic exposure and promoted recovery of their qualitative and quantitative characteristics.
-
DescriptionBetulonic acid amide stimulated the regenerative response in hepatocytes under conditions of combined toxic exposure and promoted recovery of their qualitative and quantitative characteristics, which was accompanied by a significant decrease in the severity of liver fibrosis and the absence of cirrhotic transformation of the liver. Betulonic acid derivatives have a promising cytostatic activity in vitro and could be used as potential leads for the development of new type of anti-cancer agents. Betulonic acid has antiholestatic effects in mice.
-
In VitroBetulonic acid (72 h) inhibits the growth of various types of human tumor cell lines, including MGC-803,PC3, Bcap-37, A375, MCF-7 tumor cell lines, with IC50s of 17.7, 13.9, 25.7, 28.9, 18.2 μM, respectively. Betulonic acid has antiplasmodial activity, with IC50 of 10 μM.Betulonic acid inhibits HSV-1, ECHO6 and influenza FPV viruses, with EC50s of 0.9, 73.32, and 5.7 μM, respectively.

P110
Dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1) inhibitor, inhibits Drp1 GTPase activity. Displays no effect on dynamin 1 or other mitochondrial dynamics-related proteins. Inhibits mitochondrial fission, dysfunction and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in vitro. Reduces programmed cell death and improves cell viability by protecting mitochondrial integrity. Reduces mitochondrial fragmentation and mitochondrial ROS production in mouse model of Parkinson's disease. Cell permeable.
