Description

G9a inhibitor E72 (E-72) is a potent inhibitor of histone H3K9 methyltransferases G9a and G9a-like protein (GLP) with Kd of 136 nM and 164 nM, shows selectivity over the related H3K9 methyltransferase Suv39H2; reactivates K-ras-mediated epigenetic silencing of the proapoptotic Fas gene in NIH 3T3 cells, with much reduced cell cytotoxicity compared with BIX-01294.
