SPI009 is a novel antipersister compound active against P. aeruginosa; reduces the number of persisters up to 100,000-fold in both lab strains and clinical isolates of P. aeruginosa when combined with distinct classes of antibiotics; efficiently kills persister cells with minor cytotoxicity, and causes no erythrocyte damage.
