    A potent, orally active, and irreversible pan-Caspase protease inhibitor with IC50 of <0.08 to 7 nM for inhibition of activated caspase 3, 6 and 8; also potently inhibited Fas-induced apoptosis of Jurkat cells with IC50 of 6.3 nM, demonstrates protective activity in the mouse model of Fas-induced hepatitis (ED50=0.7mg/kg, p.o.); synergistically inhibits tumor growth by activation of necroptosis and increased secretion of TNFα in a model of colon carcinoma combined with 5-FU.
